Dionne Warwick concert at the Congress Hall

Dionne Warwick gave in Warsaw a Christmas concert on December 10, 2008 during her European tour.
She.is a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer and actress of the 1960s and 1970s, particularly known for singing the songs of the composer-lyricist team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David. In the 1980s she collaborated with Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder.
She is also an activist. She is former United Nations Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization, former United States Ambassador of Health, and humanitarian and a fundraiser for AIDS victims.
Dionne Warwick now lives in Brazil. "I love Brazil. I see there so much of what we've lost here in America. I see complete families, from grandmother to grandchild and in between at the malls on Saturdays together, on Sundays at the park together ..." she told Cristina M. Eibscher of News from Brazil.
