Piano Concerts in Royal Łazienki Park

Open-air piano concerts with music by Frederic Chopin have been taking place in Warsaw’s Royal Łazienki Park, at the foot of the monument to the great composer, for 49 years.
From the middle of May to the end of September, fans of Frederic Chopin’s music meet every Sunday afternoon at noon and 4p.m. in front of his monument in Łazienki Park to listen to piano concerts.
Summer concerts are a constant element of the calendar for the most important cultural events not only in the capital but also throughout Poland. Piano recitals in Łazienki Park are world-famous and tourists who visit Warsaw treat them as a must-see.
It is estimated that at every concert there are about four thousand listeners in attendance, occupying all surrounding benches and walking around the park.
Frederic Chopin National Institute, who invites pianists for the whole concert season, guarantees the high artistic level of the programme. At the foot of Chopin’s monument, world-famous pianists perform as well as professors of reputable music academies, both national and foreign, and laureates from the most important festivals and contests.
The program of concerts for each season can be found at the website of Stołeczna Estrada, which takes care about organizing the concerts in Royal Łazienki.
